- The employer is always paying late. What can the child support enforcement agency do to get them to pay on time?
- When employers of the non-custodial parent are constantly late in remitting child support payments they are sent a warning letter.
If the problem persists, the child support enforcement division can then serve them with a "Order to Show Cause" and take them to court for failure to comply.
The court has the authority to assess treble damages against the employer for willful failure to comply with a wage assignment.
